What is The Running Team?

Have you always wanted to run faster but felt that it wasn’t possible?  Are you feeling pain either during or after running?  Are you fed up of getting injured?

Well, The Running Team can definitely help you!

Designed by Martin McIntyre from The SISM Clinic Castlebar, The Running Team can help runners or athletes of all levels improve their performance while decreasing injury’s.

Martin has worked with many high level athletes in the past including Aidan O’Shea (Mayo GAA and All Star) and Cathal Cregg (Roscommon Senior Football Captain) to help them improve their output and most importantly stay injury free.

Until Aidan started working with Martin, he has suffered from Oestitis Pubis, repetitive calf strain and lots of niggles and injuries.  After going through the modules The Running Team offers, Aidan’s biomechanics and the changes he as made, have led to him becoming more mobile and free from injury.

It’s important to note though that The Running Team modules are designed for all runners and sports which involves running. We work with kids from 10 years upwards to the more experienced novice sportsperson and cater for levels from beginners right up to those at elite level. We offer 4 Running Team modules;

  1. Running Technique; we assess your running mechanics and work with you to change your technique to ensure your run quicker, for longer pain and injury free.
  2. Running Speed; we assess your running mechanics and ensure your technique maxmisies your speed whilst we also provide speed training with our unique PBM training speed method. A revolutionary speed training method only available at the running team.
  3. Team Speed; we provide team sessions to improve speed for Gaelic games soccer and rugby.
  4. Performance running; we assess your running mechanics and ensure your technique maxmisies your speed whilst we also provide speed training with our unique PBM training speed method. A revolutionary speed training method only available at the running team. We also assess your training program and through lactate and heart rate profiling training systems to ensure your training works for you to improve your speed and fitness.
